Valeria Do Vale
organizer | Student Immigrant Movement
Valeria immigrated from Brazil at the age of seven with her family, and has resided in Boston for most of her life. An ambitious young woman, Valeria immediately became involved in the Immigration movement during her freshman year of high school when she discovered that her status would impede here educational advancements. She has been a leading organizer in the community for three years as a member of the Student Immigrant Movement, working towards justice and access to higher education for people of color. Now, having graduated from the John D. O’Bryant High School, Valeria holds a promising future as she attends Northeastern University in the fall of 2016 on a full-ride scholarship.
